New Zealand Red Deer

Raised under the same standards as the deer for Cervena, but just over the 3 year mark to qualify for the Cervena Appellation our New Zealand farmed Red Deer comes from the family-owned farms of New Zealand. Raised grass-fed on pristine, fertile pastures, the venison develops a rich, mild meat with no gamey flavor and a great tenderness. With 1/5 the fat of beef, plus more iron and Vitamin D, New Zealand Red Deer is the perfect alternative to regular beef - lots of flavor, naturally lean.
