About Grass Fed Beef Rib Eye, Whole, Cut To Order

Perfect for when you want to show off your butchering skills, our grass fed Rib Eye comes whole so you can portion as you wish. However, if you want to get right to grilling and skip the cutting, you can also get this spectacular piece of meat cut to order into Rib Eye steaks by our expert butchers (see steak thickness options above).

Packed with 11 lbs. intense, all-natural beef, this comes from 100% grass fed cattle from Australia, is rich and flavorful, with a pronounced beef “muskiness”. Naturally lean, this is not at tender as the grain-finished variety, but you’ll find it makes up for it with a great gamey, beefy flavor that grain-finished meat can never emulate.

Naturally and humanely raised, Brunette Downs produces their meat the old-fashioned way: pasture raised, no hormones and no antibiotics, ever. Amazingly lean, grass fed beef has fewer calories, fat and cholesterol than regular beef, plus more vitamins and minerals, making it a great solution for those who want to ditch the fat without sacrificing the flavor.

Cooking and grilling grass fed beef: you’ll find grass fed beef is significantly leaner than grain-finished beef, so cook to medium-rare.

Cutting details: you have the option of choosing the thickness of your steaks but please note that not all steaks will be exactly the same size, and some steaks will be cut a bit thicker or a bit thinner. This is due to the uneven shape of whole meat muscles, but we’ll try to keep it as close to what you requested as is possible. If there are any trimmings left over after the cutting process, of course those will be included as well.

Our grass-fed beef comes from AACo - the Australian Agricultural Company - specifically from the Brunette Downs Station in the Northern Territory. This lush area comprises thousands of square miles of mitchell and flinders grass, as well as native grasses and herbs. The cattle are free ranging (hardly ever handled by humans), and 100% grass fed on this pasture.

  • This product will arrive in a vacuum-sealed bag.
  • Frozen: store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
