Venison Tenderloin

This luscious tenderloin comes from 100% New Zealand farm-raised venison. Tender and flavorful, without any of that gaminess and toughness you get from hunted wild deer, our farm raised venison tenderloin is rosy red, naturally lean and with practically no fat. Perfect to roast whole or to cut into medallions or steaks.

Oven-roast whole or cut into fillets or medallions. Quick grilling or pan searing is the way to go with tenderloin steaks, just to about medium-rare to ensure tenderness. If you’re grilling or pan cooking, use a bit of oil or butter on this to get that perfect brown crust. Cooking tip: venison cooks much more quickly than other red meat, so make sure to keep an eye on it as it cooks.

Unlike regular hunted deer, our farm raised venison tenderloin from New Zealand never has that “wild” taste so characteristic of game, but rather, mild and rich, flavorful but not gamey, and tender. The deep rose red meat is healthy and lean, with one-fifth the fat of beef, plus it has more iron and Vitamin D.
